We are very sad to hear of the death in Strathcarron Hospice of Marjory McLachlan CVO CStJ who was Lord-Lieutenant Stirling and Falkirk from 2005 to 2017.
Among many attributes, she was famous for her curling and was President of the Ladies Branch of the Royal Caledonian Curling Club as well as being the Scottish Representative on the World Curling Federation.
She was brought up and lived in Falkirk and was loved and respected throughout the community. Our thoughts go out her husband Colin, their children and grandchildren.
